Fishing Report --February 4. 2012 at 14:35 The four options recommended by the ad hoc committee members to go
foward are as follows, with the most support for the 16 1/2" option:

16 1/2" min. size, 4 fish possession limit
17" min. size, 5 fish
17" min. size, 4 fish
17 1/2" min. size, 5 fish

All options assume no closed season in 2012

Options will be presented to VMRC Commission at a public hearing on Feb.
24th.

Fishing Report --January 10. 2012 at 10:39 They are still tarin the Rockfish up out of Wachapreague.
Capt. Nat Atkinson on the Foxy Lady came in with his limit over the weekend!

This years 22nd Annual Spring flounder tournament is April 13th thru April 22nd 2012.
Applications will be mailed out soon and will be available on our web site at wachapreague.com.

Fishing Report --January 5. 2012 at 15:11 Reports are that rock fish have shown up out of Wachapreague. Some nice fish
being reported.

Fishing Report --October 16. 2011 at 11:51 Flounder are still being caught and should pick up as the weather cools.
Red drum have been reported in the surf. An also have heard some speckled
trout are being caught.

Fishing Report --October 8. 2011 at 14:38 The fall run of flounder is starting to pick up. A few have even picked up some
red drum.
Should see the flounder catches increase every day.

Fishing Report --August 4. 2011 at 15:55 ooooooooooooooo today is a great day to fish if you live were it is sunny angerlers,the sun must have went on vacation today ,but there is a lot of fish to be caught in these part. flounders and crokers are having fun playing catch me if you can and the fish are not winning, there are still a lot to be caught and are waiting for you to throw them a line. the weather is not bad here and still the fishing is very very good.so lets getoff what ever your on and come to capt zeds and lets tell some fish stories or show us what you caught for that day we love seeing you in our little town by the sea any questions just call us at 757-789-3222 and ask capt zed or the big fish,little debbie we will try to answer what ever you throw at us. have a safe summer and boat safely

what a nice day it is today.sun shinning and the fish are waitting to be caught, yesterday keith neal bag a 43lb wahoo on the (ceasar) and we have to say, regina bush got herself a white marlin on the (hook-em) last week lets congradulate both of them for a fine job of reeling them in.don't forget about the 30th annual billfish release tourament comming july 21st till the 25th call the capt at 757-789-3222 for more info.flounder are still in these waters so grab your boat and come sit with us awhile.

today was a good day to fish and some caught more then they thought they would sam parker of the (scorpio) did well today 3 dophin commimg in at 40 inches flounder not so hot on the list today the storm last night must have chased then to the very bottom, but all in all fishing and the weather are doing well.not many weeks left in this season so let grab your rod and reel and come and see us before it to late don't forget the 59th fireman's carnival is still on until 16th of july lets supportthose volunteers that keep us safe.and the 30th annual billfish release tournament starts july 21 till the 26th 2011 sign up soon and get a head start.hope all had a good 4th of july this year,

today is the 4th of july and we wish everyone a safe and happy one,but the fish are still looking to be caught in this neck of the woods flounder, marlin ,croaker,and dolphin,are waiting for your arivel, some say they are getting tired of waiting around. so let get your fish tails in here and make them and yourself happy. be careful on your way home tonight and besafe

Fishing Report --June 27. 2011 at 07:52 today is june 26th and the weather is starting to clear up anglers this morning thunder and lighting ruled the skies at 4am now it is time for the fisherman to rule, yesterday the fishing was fantasic (relentless) with capt mike lewis came in with a dolphin wt27lb 4oz and caught at sam hill and also a blue fin tuna wt 112lb 9 oz in the same place both in which come with a citation, congragulation to greg breuker and daniel hovey also capt nat atkinsonof the (foxy lady) says the flounder are getting bigger by the day and 19 to 22in is what his lady is bringing in right now ,so lets go anglers the time is right to fish for the big ones. starting july 21st to the 25th is the 30th annual billfish release tournament hope to catch you in this part of town.

today is a very nice day for fishing
yesterday blue fin were jumping in the boats
88lb blue
2 50lb yellow
2 white marlin caught on the (right hook ) capt. sam fisher
also capt. frank raiford of the (miss polly)brought in 3 dophin and tuna wighting up to 55lb
flounder fishing is still good in this neck of the woods so come on down and drop a line in and say hello

today is the 25th of june and the sun is hot
todays catch is going well flounder is being caught some here; and some there; we also had a couple weightins
1 tuna 49lbs 42 1/2 long
1 dophin 10lb 17in long
and also one smaller
anyone who did not make a catch today, looks good with the tan they got being out all day

Fishing Report --June 22. 2011 at 12:20 Capt Zeds weighed in a 100lb Bluefin Tuna caught at Sams Hill. The big fish was
caught on the "Teaser" with Capt Keith Neal. They also registered a release for a
White Marlin and had a nice gaffer dolphin caught at the Washington Canyon.
The boat the "Caneelin" with Captains Randy and Craig Bohlman released 10
Bluefin Tuna on Tuesday. Largest they brought in was 86lbs. caught at the 26
mile hill.
This weekend is the MSSA Tuna Tournament. Look for alot of tuna to be caught
in the 100lb category.
The offshore action is hot right now.

Fishing Report --June 20. 2011 at 08:59 good morning angelers
today is june 20.2011 and the rain is falling but it does not stop a real fisherman
flounder fishing has inproved this week. you do not have to throw back as many as you catch you can keep some for yourself
limit is still 4 per person and 17 1/2 in length in which some catches turn out be be around 20 inches or higher
for the big fish. blue fin tuna are being caught around the 26 mile hill. this week is looking good ,so come out and say hello and do a little fishing hope to see all soon

Fishing Report --June 1. 2011 at 17:04 Offshore action has begun. A couple of boats ventured out the past weekend to
troll for those tuna. The bite was on at 1000 fathoms. Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna
were caught.
Inshore there are still catching some flounder.
Outside the inlet some red drum have been caught,

Fishing Report --May 21. 2011 at 07:23 Flounder fishing in past few days has improved as well as the weather. Alot of fish being caught. Outside the inlet Rockfish and Drum!
This past week Capt. Zeds weighed in a 8lb flounder. Caught on one of our rental boats.

Fishing Report --May 9. 2011 at 12:20 Flounder fishing is good. Most fishermen are able to bring in some keeper
flounder. Best spots are still Green and Drawing Channel, Bullshead, and the
Hummocks. Fishermen are also catching some nice Black Drum and Rockfish in
the surf just outside the inlet. A few lucky ones have even caught rockfish inside
the inlet.

Fishing Report --April 25. 2011 at 10:12 Results of the 21st Annual Flounder Tournament:

1st Place- Turk Ridenour(MD)- 7lb 14oz.- 28 1/2in
2nd Place-William Rawlings- 5lb 10 1/2oz- 24 1/2in
3rd Place- Talmer Curry- 5lb 10oz.- 23in.
4th Place- Robert Corbitt- 5lb 10oz.- 25in.
5th Place- Robert Corbitt- 5lb 10oz- 25in.
(4th & 5th place based on time)

Fishing on Saturday & Sunday improved greatly with the weather change.

Fishing Report --April 23. 2011 at 15:02 As of 1pm this Saturday afternoon a 7lb 14oz Flounder was weighed in to take
the lead in the flounder tournament. In second place is a 5lb 10 1/2 oz flounder.

Fishing Report --April 20. 2011 at 05:58 The leader board has not changed. The top fish is still 5lb. 10 1/2 oz. caught by Wm. Rawlings from Delaware. Second place is 5lb 10oz. caught by Talmer Curry from MD.
Considering the weather fishing has been pretty good. Most are able to bring some keepers.

Fishing Report --April 16. 2011 at 17:28 Todays weather was a bust but yesterday we weighed in some nice 3,4, and 5lb
fish. The winner on the board so far is a 5lb 10 1/2oz. flounder. Will keep you
updated.

Fishing Report --April 8. 2011 at 17:28 Todays weather did not help the flounder fishermen. Rain kept most in.
Look for tomorrow to be a better day.

Fishing Report --April 7. 2011 at 17:42 THE FLOUNDER FISHING HAS STARTED WITH THE SPRING RUN. FISHERMEN ARE
COMING IN WITH SOME NICE KEEPER FLOUNDER. GREEN AND DRAWING
CHANNEL, THE HUMMOCKS, AND BULLSHEAD ARE THE BEST SPOTS. APPOLIGIZE
FOR THE DELAY IN THE REPORTS BUT WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED. THE 21ST
ANNUAL SPRING FLOUNDER TOURNAMENT BEGINS ON FRIDAY, APRIL 15TH THRU
APRIL 24TH, 2011.
