Captain Zed's Bait & Tackle Shop is the retailer of fishing and hunting licenses in Wachapreague. The individual license fee has gone up to $13.00 and the boat license fee is now $38.50. The Saltwater fishing license is good for one year from the date of purchase. Don't forget the first 400 people who return their paid flounder tournament entry forms, will receive a FREE Tournament t-shirt.

We also want to remind folks that we are the booking agent for some of the local charter boat captains. We arrange charters for Capt. Nat Atkinson on the Foxy Lady, Jimmy Wallace on the Canyon Lady, Sam Parker on the Scorpio, Bill Tyson on the Marlin Magic and Bill Bowen on the Lyn B. Captain Zed's is open at 5:30 a.m., offering breakfast sandwiches and hot coffee, along with all your bait and tackle needs. The Island House Restaurant will be open daily serving lunch & dinner, as well as our Clubhouse Lounge, for the thirsty fisherman! Tucked behind pristine barrier beach islands on the seaside of Virginia's Eastern Shore lies the little town of Wachapreague. The region, recognized as a Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations, is truly one of the last large wetland habitats in the world.

Attractions other than just the mere beauty of Wachapreague include a vigorous fleet of offshore fishing yachts, terrific inshore flounder fishing, birdwatching, unfettered barrier island beaches, hunting, and in short an abundance of nature.
