Hello
Fishermen (and women!)
First off, I would like to thank everyone
who fished in last year’s tournament. It went very well for
us, and I certainly learned a lot and made some great friends on
MY first tournament. Thanks to all who continued the annual tournament
tradition!
Most aspects of the tournament itself
will remain the same this year. We are continuing to offer the $2000
top prize for first place, along with prizes for second through
fifth place. As always, you can pick up your fishing licenses right
here at Capt. Zed’s.
One of the requests we had from last
year was to offer raffles, and that is something we plan on offering
this year. If you have other suggestions, we would be happy to try
and accommodate them as well- just send us a note along with your
application.
Chris and Nikki Wardius still own
and operate the Wachapreague
Inn, and continue to invest in making the Inn a great place
to stay while in Wachapreague! You can’t miss the great paint
job on the Inn itself and beautiful mural that was painted on the
East side of the building.
As in years past, we will be offering
the early bird drawings for paid flounder tournament applications.
Applications received before February 10th will be eligible for
a $100 gift card good at either The Island House Restaurant or Capt.
Zed’s. Applications received before February 24th will be eligible
for a $50 gift card. Winners will be notified before the tournament,
and can pick up their prizes anytime before or during the tournament.
We are very excited to host the 22nd
Annual tournament this year. There will be entertainment both weekends
at The Island House, so come have dinner with us after a long day
our on the water! If you have any questions about the tournament,
